What are the Practicalities?
Where does the counselling take place?
Although I am based in Dalton-in-Furness in South Cumbria, due to the current situation I am not currently seeing clients Face-to-Face, however, I am trained in using On-line Counselling and am a member of ACTO (Association of Counsellors and Therapists Online).
I am currently offering on-line counselling using TELEPHONE, ZOOM and SKYPE.
What are my working hours?
I can be flexible and am able to offer appointments on weekdays between the hours of 8.00am and 9.00pm to fit in with your availability. Appointments are usually weekly or fortnightly, but do not have to be at the same time each week, and I aim to be flexible in order to arrange appointments which are convenient to us both.
What does it cost?
I charge £50 for a session of 50 minutes with individuals. Couple counselling is charged at £55 for a session of 50 minutes.
After you have made contact with me, I will usually try to arrange a short phone call with you to ensure that you are happy with our contract which I will have sent to you in advance, and we can have a brief chat about the issues you are seeking help with. If you feel happy to proceed and we both feel we can work together, we will arrange your first appointment.
The number of sessions that you require will be up to you, as it is impossible to predict how many sessions a particular person might require, but as a general rule I would say that I usually work quite short-term (often between 6 and 12 sessions), although I do work longer-term with some clients if this is what they require.
How can I get in touch?
You can either telephone or email me. If you telephone you are likely to get my answerphone. Please leave a message stating when is a good time for me to ring you back then I will reply to you as soon as I can. We can then arrange the brief telephone call and I will send you my contract to read through. If you are happy to proceed after this we will then arrange a first appointment.
