Counselling offers you a safe place to talk through difficulties you are having in your personal life with someone who is trained neither to judge nor advise you, but to help you explore and unlock your feelings, and to examine the ways you think, feel, and behave.
Your counsellor will not tell you what to do, but will encourage you to find your own answers. Through exploring with your counsellor, you may find a new way of looking at your situation and begin to face things with more strength and less anxiety. This may help you to take more control of your life and you may then be in a better position to make decisions from the choices available to you, either to change things or to come to terms with things that can't be changed.
